Looking for Resolution?
Are you in the beginning, middle or end stages of a lawsuit? Having post-deal issues with a client or vendor regarding the rights and obligation under an agreement? Worried about the cost financially and emotionally of litigating a dispute and the impact a lawsuit may have on your business or family?
We Can Help
Mediation can help you resolve these and other conflicts by creating an atmosphere in which you gain understanding, become understood, and work together to explore mutually beneficial options for resolution. When dialogue breaks down and negotiations reach an impasse, a neutral set of eyes can help clarify the practical realities for both parties in an objective way. An effective mediator allows cooler heads to prevail.
Laura J. Coe began serving as a mediator more than a decade ago, after having been a commercial trial lawyer many years. Laura believes that her more than twenty years of experience litigating civil and commercial disputes and sensitivity to the toll that litigation can visit on the parties’ businesses and families aid her is assisting parties in resolving their disputes. As mediator, Laura listens to the parties and then participates actively in assisting both parties in evaluating the case based on her knowledge of substantive law and experience at the courthouse and assessing the risks that lie ahead if no settlement is reached. Laura has mediated attorneys’ fees, construction contract, fiduciary duty, fraud, homeowners/condominium association, landlord-tenant, real estate, and tort disputes (achieving a 94 percent settlement rate).
